L'Occitane's Asia headquarters at K11 Atelier accommodates the core L'Occitane brand alongside four subsidiary fashion and cosmetics labels within the wider L'Occitane Asia Group. The brief demanded a workplace that could absorb a complex departmental structure and diverse workflow — while feeling cohesive, open, and genuinely reflective of the brands it houses.
The design features open-plan work settings, collaborative zones, a full meeting suite, training facilities, a large communal pantry, and a dedicated product showroom. Studio X carried out extensive test-fitting to resolve the competing space demands of multiple business units within a fixed floor plate — working to a tight budget without compromising on the quality of the outcome. The project completed in Q4 2019 within the newly developed K11 Atelier tower in North Point, Hong Kong.
The workplace was designed to meet the expectations of a regional headquarters, with a strong focus on staff wellbeing, flexibility, and collaborative working.

(Approach)The brief required us to mesh multiple departments and workflows, into a 27,000 sqft space split over two floors. We used openness as the organising principle.

It has been a great pleasure working with Rufus and his team. Their insightful and intelligent design solutions have helped to resolve many core issues we had to face.
We could not have asked for a better design partner.
The design organised the working environment around clear circulation, open work areas, meeting rooms, and shared spaces; all organised to support both focused day-to-day work and collaboration across teams.

The completed workplace brings together open working floors, meeting suites, and shared social spaces within a clear and carefully structured plan.
Designed to meet the expectations of a regional headquarters, the scheme prioritises flexibility, collaboration, and the day-to-day experience of staff, creating a contemporary workplace that supports both focused work and informal interaction.
