Studio X designed LFCH’s 6,000 sqft regional investment headquarters within a Grade A building in Sheung Wan — a focused, high-performance workplace.
The layout combines open workstations, private offices, meeting rooms and social spaces, with a fully integrated pantry and breakout area.

The planning was carefully conceived around a series of large structural columns that interrupt the floor plate.
Rather than working around them, the design conceals them within a panoramic meeting room pod — preserving uninterrupted views of the city skyline and allowing natural light to reach deep into the open-plan floor.
The open-plan work floor — organised to maximise natural light and maintain clear sightlines to the city skyline, with the structural columns absorbed into the meeting room perimeter.
The lift lobby was designed as an extension of the main office space in consultation with the landlord in order to maximise brand presence of the firm.

Softly curved rendered walls with floor finish margins which echoes the ceiling voids.
We used a combination of natural and textural materials as well as more metallic finishes to provide a comfortable yet engineered feel.
The pantry was neatly housed inside a mini pavilion, with good acoustics and providing an optional alternative work and breakout setting.
The main boardroom; with extensive use of acoustic felt wall cladding to enhance sound absorption and optimise acoustic performance.
We combined soft geometry, with industrial finishes along with neat bezels and frame details to provide a unique overall design language that feels organised and resolved.

(Approach)Structural columns ran through the prime perimeter zone overlooking the Hong Kong skyline. We were able to absorb all of them into rooms, partitions and pods, to create an expansive feeling space with minimal visible structure and uninterrupted city views.

LFCH's brief called for a workplace that reflected the precision and rigour of their engineering business without feeling cold or corporate.
The material palette — carefully selected for quality and longevity — balances a professional tone with warmth, creating an environment that works equally well as a day-to-day workplace and a space for senior client meetings.
The scope covered the full design and delivery programme: concept, schematic and detail design, tender documentation and management, construction support, and post-completion review.
