China Mobile Flagship
We created a brand new retail concept and delivered this, the second of two store flagship stores for China Mobile, the largest wireless carrier in China with almost 1bn subscribers. The store was built to demonstrate how 5G and other innovations such as Internet of Things (IoT) open new consumer and B2B opportunities.
This project required us to take a fresh look at whether the existing China Mobile store concept was aligning with the companies current business model. We sought to move away from a handset, SIM card and accessories dominated, sales-led environment to a educational place where customers could come to learn more about the new 5G network and all of its capabilities, along it the incredible IoT (Internet Of Things) devices that it can enable, from robotics to augmented and mixed reality gaming.

The store, which is located on Canton Road in the prestigious TST CBD district, is split over two levels and places an emphasis on China Mobile’s extensive 5G capability, as well as featuring an entire showroom dedicated to 5G enabled IoT technology. The showroom highlights gesture-enabled robotic arms, augmented-reality and mixed reality gaming, and a range of sophisticated smart-home technology.
Our main objective is to improve the performance of our clients businesses by creating exciting, emotive spaces that have high utility and this project epitomises this approach.
